Moo-tober Fest 2025: A Dairy Good Time at Heim’s Hillcrest Dairy

Heim’s Hillcrest Dairy celebrated fall in true farm fashion with its first-ever Moo-tober Fest on Saturday, October 4, 2025— an afternoon filled with learning, laughter, and plenty of dairy-themed fun! From 1:00 to 5:00 PM, families from near and far gathered to experience life on a dairy farm while enjoying live entertainment and hands-on activities for all ages.

Guests hopped aboard tram tours to see firsthand how cows are cared for and how modern farming keeps herds healthy and productive. Agriculture drone demonstrations gave visitors a glimpse of how technology continues to shape the future of farming.

Kids had the chance to become “junior farmers” for the day with a lineup of engaging dairy education sessions like the Calf Café taught little ones how baby calves are cared for, Butter Buddies let participants churn their own butter, and Frozen Moo Magic revealed the science behind making ice cream.

The farm buzzed with excitement as families explored the hay maze, bounced their way through the inflatable play area, rode Heim’s new John Deere tractor-sized teeter totter, and even took a ride on “Frank,” the mechanical bull. Pumpkin decorating and games were available for all ages. Live music by Boomboxx kept spirits high throughout the afternoon, while the air filled with the delicious aromas of local food trucks and vendors offering everything from gourmet grilled cheese to fresh sourdough bread.

Visitors enjoyed a wide selection of local goods and treats from:

    • All Things Wagyu Food Truck by Rock & Hill Wagyu Co.

    • American Girl & Barbie Doll Clothes by Shirley Prodell

    • Baby Gifts by Annette
